This technology connects compatible devices to a hub (which can be your phone or computer), giving you full control over the technology and allowing you to save energy and other resources.
Elements of sustainability
Sustainability continues to be a driving trend for various industries today. According to a survey by Simon-Kucher & Partners, more and more people are mindfully choosing sustainable products, services, and practices. In landscape design, homeowners and landscapers are looking for ways to incorporate sustainability in the outdoor spaces that they handle. For one, some can choose to exclusively pick plants that don’t require excessive water and can survive periods of drought without trouble. Other sustainable elements that can be seen in many of today’s gardens are solar panels, which Hoymiles notes are a critical part of the modern renewable energy strategy. While the solar panels that can be installed in gardens are too small to fully power a home, the energy they generate can instead be used for powering outdoor appliances.
