Is it possible to work with both versions of Lands Design?

As you may know, Lands Design is available for Rhino and AutoCAD. That means that you can do all the modeling process, create the 2D documentation and rendering with the AutoCAD version, the Rhino version, or both. You can also start a 2D drawing in AutoCAD for the project guidelines, save it in .dwg, and continue the process in Rhino for the 3D modeling, or the other way around.

Although both versions of Lands Design have the same features, the properties assigned to its objects (such as plants or terrains) in one version are not readable in the other one. This means that if you have a file in the AutoCAD version, you won’t have access to the species name, the size and other object properties when you open it in Rhino. This fact makes us strongly recommend you to do the modeling and documentation with Lands Design in one platform (AutoCAD or Rhino), and do not mix the modeling step by using both versions of Lands Design.
